Leaving Seattle
Leaving was exciting and scary at the same time. As usual when traveling, things didn’t go exactly as planned.

Bandung is the capital of West Java Province on the Island of Java, Indonesia. Situated in the mountains about 150 km southeast of Jakarta, it’s a large city that doesn’t seem that large.

Indonesia and Bandung particularly are known for a wide variety of food.
Hiking Bandung
Bandung is located in the mountains, surrounded by active volcanos. It seems like a good idea to hike up one of them, until I get completely lost.

Kanigara is a great little cafe in the heart of tourist-trap central Braga. The coffee, croissants, and staff are amazing.

Bandung has a biking and running culture, despite the traffic everywhere.

Local morning markets are a fascination for me. The variety of items for sale and the hustle of the vendors and customers is fun to watch.
Last Day in Bandung
It’s hard to believe I’ve been in Bandung for 17 days. As I prepare for my travel day to Malaysia tomorrow, I say goodbye to some new friends here in Bandung.
